Project partners

The project is conducted by three project partners: Biologischen Station Kreis Paderborn – Senne, Landesbetrieb Wald und Holz Nordrhein-Westfalen – Regionalforstamt Hochstift and Ministerium für Klimaschutz, Umwelt, Landwirtschaft, Natur- und Verbraucherschutz des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen (represented by Bezirksregierung Detmold).

 

The “Biologische Station Kreis Paderborn – Senne e.V.“ is a nature conservation institution whose main task is the professional maintenance of nature conservation and bird protection areas in district Paderborn and Senne.

 

The “Regionalforstamt Hochstift” of “Landesbetrieb Wald und Holz Nordrhein-Westfalen” is officially responsible for more than 70.000 hectares state, private and communal forest in districts Paderborn and Höxter. Main focus lays on a near-natural management of the forest areas.

 

The “Ministerium für Klimaschutz, Umwelt, Landwirtschaft, Natur- und Verbraucherschutz” (department for climate protection, environment, agriculture, nature and consumer protection) in North-Rhine Westphalia is the highest nature conservation department of the state. It applies laws of the federal government, the state and the EU and is also responsible for the preservation of the NATURA 2000 network.
